Canadian Day #1 began with a leisurely late morning start as we headed from Sumas WA to Abbotsford BC on our way to Tsawwassen for the ferry ride to Nanaimo. We only got lost 3 times due to the fact that there was so much construction and new freeways that our navigation system didn’t know about. It was about 74 degrees today and a beautiful 2.25 hour ferry ride. Although I must admit that I did about 1.5 hours of video editing while sitting in the front seat of the car... while intermittently enjoying the sights!!! The Best Western Northgate Inn - Nanaimo provided beautiful accommodations with a casual/good restaurant...and Don got his first BC geocache while I created today’s blog.
