Mesquite NV

Today was a short trip 100 mile trip with a cloudy sky and mild temperatures.  The natives were very pleased with the cool-down from mid-80's to 60ish.  We made a short trip even shorter by taking a short-cut across Hwy 168 from Hwy 93 to I-15 about 10 miles north of Las Vegas.  It was a narrow, undulating but paved road with some nice color along the way... And, Don would do anything to by-pass Las Vegas.  However when we leave here, after the Huntsman World Senior Games, he’s going to have to knuckle down and bite the bullet as we have no choice but to take I-15/93 as we head south towards Kingman AZ.

We’re here for 9 nights and I start practicing pickleball with my women’s partner, Janice Ramirez, whom I’ve never met, at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.   We have 3 days to get up to speed...the action starts on Monday in St George UT, about 35 minutes north on I-15.  I’ll return to blogging when I have time...

Just so you won't get lost...

How's that for a thunder head?

See what I mean about Hwy 168

But it wasn't all bad...

Check out those colors as we approach civilization!!!

Your guess is as good as mine...could be lost Aliens!!!

I-15 doesn't look too bad as we head north...

And here's our home for the next 9 nights...
Sun Resorts RV Park, Mesquite NV - later...

  1. CV Liz & Karol are in St. George; Liz is playing softball in the Senior Games.I wrote to her that you would be playing pickleball. So you just might cross paths... Good Luck!
