HURRICANE RIDGE

On June 28, day 25, we had to cope with doing the laundry, getting the car washed, groceries, and restocking Nancy’s wine supply...cheaper in the USA!!!  Then we hurried off to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic Nat’l Park.  And when we stepped out of the car at only 5200‘ + elevation, we knew how that place got it’s name.  The photos tell the story, but one story they don’t tell is when I got snacks out of the back of our SUV and didn’t close the hatch..  Many Ravens were “riding the wind” when one of them recognized “plastic bags” within reach and dove into the back of the vehicle.  When I got out to remedy the situation, he hopped out and gave me a funny look and I could hear the words “Well, what did you expect from the world’s most intelligent bird?”

While geocaching this guy greeted us...

Lots of deer today
Beautiful morning glories...
